EDITORIAL ON UNTRUTHFUL NEWS


I feel like it would be difficult to completely eliminate fake news. You would have to have someone or a system monitoring and censoring everything, all the social media networks and websites. I think it'll be impossible for a single person to do. It might work with a big group of people but you would have to make sure these people are unbiased. If there where a machine or program that can fact check things so it's easier to sort whats real and what's fake, it could work. The bottom line is it's probably impossible to stop all fake news but setting up a group of people/system that can monitor and censor it may help.Gilad Lotan said "if our collective goals include increasing trust in institutions and supporting an informed public, there is a lot of work to be done, and not only by Facebook. A number of actors, including publishers, social networks, content distributors, and forums, are all important in this space." This is true, it's going to take a lot of work and people working together. 
The purpose of this assignment is to think of a way to eliminate fake news. 
The key question at the heart of the assignment is "how can we stop spreading fake news on our social media accounts?"

    I am questioning the accuracy of your statement "If there where a machine or program that can fact check things so it's easier to sort whats real and what's fake, it could work." because there is no way to check where you have got your idea from or evidence that you read the reading. In other words, there is no links to the article that you have read, to give you the slightest idea.
