THE ART OF CRAP DETECTION

Everyone is bias. Seth Godin said, "the best professionals are biased. And smart enough to embrace only the biases that keep them successful." So, being biased only becomes a problem when it stops us from moving forward.

What exactly is bullshit anyway?
Bullshit is nonsense, exaggeration and lies. It is used to mislead and deceive people.
The main point of the paragraph was to give us an idea of how crap detection works.
In other words, we need to be able to realize lies. We can do that by questioning what people tell you. It's important that we're aware that not everything is true.
For example, on facebook I see a lot of those diet drink ad's and most of them don't have any proof to back them up. If you are not able to detect the bs then you might end up falling for them and buying.
The purpose of the assignment is to educate us on detecting bullshit and make us think more about the info. we are given.
The key question at the heart of the assignment is, "are you able to use your biases in a successful way?" and "will you be able to detect bullshit?"

    Your statement had precision when you said "Bullshit is nonsense, exaggeration and lies". I agree with you and think there is no other way of defining it.

I feel like it would be difficult to completely eliminate fake news. You would have to have someone or a system monitoring and censoring everything, all the social media networks and websites. I think it'll be impossible for a single person to do. It might work with a big group of people but you would have to make sure these people are unbiased. If there where a machine or program that can fact check things so it's easier to sort whats real and what's fake, it could work.
