ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS ABOUT SPREADING YOUR IDEAS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA

What is the purpose of spreading your ideas with social media?
People share things that they relate to, or think that others can relate to. Sharing ideas online allows you to reach a larger audience. Sharing is a way to connect to people, maybe they have similar interest or feelings on what you shared.
What other information do you need to consider to better understand spreading your ideas with social media?
You should consider your audience when choosing what you want to share. Who are you trying to reach? What message are you trying to convey to them? What is the best platform for you to share your ideas (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)? You need to be able to connect with your audience, you can do that by sharing things that evoke emotion or that are interesting. The goal is to make your readers want to read your content.
 
The purpose of the assignment is to make you realize why it's important to share your idea's on social media.
The key question at the heart of the assignment is "do you understand why it's important to share your ideas online?"

    I'm questioning the significance of your statement, "Sharing is a way to connect to people, maybe they have similar interest or feelings on what you shared" What significant problems can occur from having this purpose?

I feel like it would be difficult to completely eliminate fake news. You would have to have someone or a system monitoring and censoring everything, all the social media networks and websites. I think it'll be impossible for a single person to do. It might work with a big group of people but you would have to make sure these people are unbiased. If there where a machine or program that can fact check things so it's easier to sort whats real and what's fake, it could work.
